Training exercises scheduled at Pease today, tomorrow

Pease Air National Guard Base in Newington is conducting a series of training exercises today and tomorrow. The local community can expect to hear loud emergency tones and announcements over base loudspeakers.

On paper, Spc. Ethan Moorhouse may still be a part-time fuel handler, but it's his customer service skills that are making a difference for the New Hampshire Army National Guard. Since taking on a full-time personnel position in 54th Troop Command, Moorhouse has been the driving force behind the brigade’s S1 team. Recently, it was recognized by the U.S. Army for processing 1,418 customer management cases last year, the most in the National Guard, under the new integrated personnel and pay system, known as IPPS-A.

Soldiers with Task Force Iroquois train for deployment to Africa to support Special Operations Command Africa March 5, 2024, at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. The 14 Soldiers, mostly with the 328th Brigade Support Battalion, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 28th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, put in many weeks of rigorous training since January to prepare for their yearlong deployment.

Wisconsin National Guard Airmen with the 128th Air Refueling Wing Security Forces Squadron and the 115th Fighter Wing Security Forces Squadron trained in Papua New Guinea March 17-22 with the Papua New Guinea Defence Force as part of the State Partnership Program. The Airmen trained PNGDF military police and other service members in crowd control, compliance techniques and physical and electronic security.
