Command Chief Warrant Officer

Chief Warrant Officer 4 Katie Scott is a native of New Hampshire. On June 15, 2000, she enlisted in the New Hampshire Army National Guard as a Chemical, Quartermaster Repairer in the 1159th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) in Concord, New Hampshire. She began her Active Guard Reserve Career (AGR) in 2003 as the Personnel Administrative Sergeant for the 1159th Medical Company.

A graduate of the Personnel Administrative Specialist and Flight Operations Specialist Course, CW4 Scott rose to the rank of staff sergeant and held various positions including Personnel Administrative Specialist and Training NCO for the 1159th Medical Company and Human Resources NCO for 54th Troop Command.

In 2005, CW4 Scott deployed to Tikrit, Iraq, with the 1159th Medical Company (AA) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as the Personnel Administrative Sergeant. Additionally, she supported numerous federal and state missions including mobilizations for the Global War on Terrorism, the Southwest Border Mission, and various State Active-Duty efforts.

CW4 Scott attended Warrant Officer Candidate School in Ft. Novosel, Alabama, and was appointed as a Human Resource Warrant Officer in February 2009.

CW4 Scott’s initial assignment as a warrant officer was with New Hampshire’s Recruiting and Retention Command as the Warrant Officer Strength Manager (2009-2012). After three years, she was assigned to HHB, 197th Field Artillery Brigade as the Human Resources Technician (2012-2015). In 2015, CW4 Scott was assigned to Joint Force Headquarters where she served in various assignments, Active Guard Reserve Manager in HRO, Personnel Services Branch Chief in the G1, Deputy G1, and most recently, she was the acting G1.

CW4 Scott’s military education includes the Primary Leader Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Warrant Officer Candidate Course, Human Resources Warrant Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, and the Warrant Officer Intermediate Level Education and Senior Staff Courses.

Her awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (third award), Army Commendation Medal (second award), Army Achievement Medal (fourth award), Army Good Conduct Medal, New Hampshire Commendation Medal, and the Meritorious Unit Citation.

CW4 Scott has a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Excelsior University and an Associate's Degree in General Studies from the University of New Hampshire.

CW4 Scott met her husband, Chris, in Burlington, Vermont in 2012. Chris was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and moved to America in 2010. He is the Director of Girls’ Soccer for Seacoast United in Hampton, NH. They have two energetic boys, Andrew – 8 and Callum – 5. They reside in Epping, New Hampshire.
