PEASE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, N.H. –
The 157th Air Refueling Wing is scheduled to hold an annual military aircraft piracy (hijacking) prevention and resistance exercise around 2 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2020, at Pease Air National Guard Base, N.H.
The exercise is planned to involve only Pease military agencies with no impact to external support agencies or civilian airport operations.
There are two parts to the event: a mid-air aboard a Pease KC-46 tanker and a ground portion conducted on the maintenance parking ramp.
The ground portion is expected to last approximately 10 minutes, with Wing Security Forces airmen and fire department personnel responding to the aircraft.
Installation commanders (or equivalent) shall conduct a hijack prevention and resistance exercise annually (once every 12 months) and evaluate procedures, in accordance with Air Force regulations.
