Pease to conduct annual aircraft piracy exercise

PEASE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, N.H. — The 157th Air Refueling Wing is scheduled to hold an annual military aircraft piracy (hijacking) prevention and resistance exercise around 2 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2020, at Pease Air National Guard Base, N.H. The exercise is planned to involve only Pease military agencies with no impact to external support agencies or civilian airport operations.

Deployment ceremony held for NH National Guard Task Force

PEMBROKE, N.H. — A deployment ceremony for a New Hampshire Army National Guard task force was held Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Edward Cross Training Center in Pembroke. Task Force West Sentinels, a headquarters element comprising 45 soldiers from the 3643d Brigade Support Battalion, are deploying for a year in support of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) mission along the Southwest border.  Under the direction of U.S. Northern Command and its forward operational command, U.S. Army North, the 3643d BSB’s mission will be to assist CBP by providing detection and monitoring support along with rotational support.

More firsts for Pease, KC-46A Pegasus

PEASE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, N.H. — Pease achieved another historic first in military aerial refueling. A year after the 157th Air Refueling Wing became the first Air National Guard unit in the country to field the KC-46A Pegasus, New Hampshire Airmen helped plan and execute the new tanker’s first ever coronet, a tactical air movement that typically involves multiple fighter aircraft.

Richard Gibbs, Air Mobility Command director of logistics, engineering and force protection, visited Airmen of the 157th Maintenance Group, Sept. 9, at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, New Hampshire.

NH 'Team Alpha' brings home serious hardware from regional shooting match

CAMP ETHAN ALLEN TRAINING SITE, Vt. — A team of 13 New Hampshire guardsmen competed in the annual Military Advisory Council Region 1 (MAC 1) combat marksmanship match from Aug. 20 to 23 at Camp Ethan Allen Training Site in Jericho, Vermont. They blazed through various pistol and rifle events and returned home with a haul of 22 awards, finishing second just behind Vermont in the final standings. Maj. Brooks Hayward, senior team member and operations officer with the 941st Military Police Battalion, NHARNG, credits the successful showing to the Guard’s rededication to training.
