2025 Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show
PEASE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, N.H. — The Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show and Open House is less than one year away, Sept. 6 - 7, 2025. The event is free, and all members of the public are welcome—no ticket required. While premium parking reservations are available for purchase at the Thunder Over New Hampshire website, drop-off and walk-on options will be available to attendees.

Pease Airmen prepare for first KC-46 deployment
PEASE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, N.H. — Airmen, families and state officials gathered inside Hangar 254, here, Sept. 8, for a ceremony honoring more than 180 Airmen who are set to deploy to support U.S. Central Command this fall. It will be the U.S. Air Force’s first operational deployment of the KC-46A Pegasus refueler to a combatant command and will be led by the New Hampshire National Guard’s 157th Air Refueling Wing, with support from the active duty’s 64th Air Refueling Squadron.

New Hampshire Guard, Partner Cabo Verde Sign Training Plan
CONCORD, N.H. — The New Hampshire National Guard hosted a ceremony in Concord on Aug. 2 to commemorate Cabo Verde’s much-anticipated acquisition of a Beechcraft King Air 360ER through the State Partnership Program. A memorandum of understanding signed by the West African nation’s minister of defense and the U.S. ambassador to Cabo Verde formalized a three-year plan for the NHNG to help train Cabo Verdean pilots and flight and ground support personnel.

CONCORD, N.H. — Services for Brig. Gen. John "Pogo" Pogorek will be Friday, July 19, at Pease Air National Guard Base in Newington. Public viewing and funeral service at 10 and 11 a.m. respectively. A private burial will follow with family only.

New Hampshire Air National Guard Mourns Loss of Commander
CONCORD, N.H. — The New Hampshire National Guard and the State of New Hampshire suffered a tragic loss of one of its finest airmen and leaders. Brig. Gen. John “Pogo” Pogorek, commander of the New Hampshire Air National Guard, died July 8 near his home in Rochester. Gen. Pogorek was the victim of a hit and run accident. He was 57.

NH Army National Guard hosts Norwegian Foot March
CONCORD, N.H. — Sixty-one New Hampshire Guardsmen braved the Scandinavian crucible of the Norwegian Foot March on May 4, 2024, in Concord. Soldiers and airmen clad in camouflage, combat boots and 25-pound packs navigated a timed 18.6-mile course around the state military reservation for a chance to earn a foreign military badge.
