Cabo Verdean Soldiers Compete at NHNG Marksmanship Match
FORT DEVENS, Mass. — A team of four marksmen from the Cabo Verdean special forces competed in the annual NHNG TAG Match at Fort Devens, Mass. from July 27 to 30. It was the first of many exchanges planned between New Hampshire and it's newest state partner, the Republic of Cabo Verde, an island nation off the coast of West Africa, according to Capt. Mario Rey, director of NHNG's State Partnership Program.

PEASE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, N.H. — Despite learning to play the sport only a few months earlier, Capt. Joy Dewitt, a KC-46A Pegasus pilot with the 157th ARW, was selected to join the DAF Women’s 7s Rugby Team in the spring of 2022.

A Rare Glimpse Of Their Guardsmen In Action
FORT DRUM, N.Y. — Twenty-five employers got a rare and up-close view of what New Hampshire National Guardsmen do while away from their full-time civilian jobs July 21. A Boss Lift shuttled the group in a KC-46A Pegasus refueler from Pease Air National Guard Base to Fort Drum, New York to watch 3rd Battalion, 197th Field Artillery Regiment fire its High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems.

NHNG, Cabo Verde Build Emerging Partnership
CONCORD, N.H. — The New Hampshire National Guard hosted a delegation from the Republic of Cabo Verde for a State Partnership Program Workshop held June 8 to 10 in Concord. Visitors from the African archipelago country, including Minister of Defense Janine Lélis and Prime Minister Chief of Staff Chief of Staff Dr. Harold Tavares, met with NHNG leaders to advance a relationship that began in February.
